Society for Hospital Administrators was formed in 2019 with an idea to bring all healthcare administrators under one roof so that they can discuss the current issues in administration with the eminent personalities in the field. It has its main focus on capacity building of healthcare professionals in India and make students – profession ready by inculcating essential leadership skills in them.
Our Aim
We are a group of administrative professionals who aid, guide, and share our knowledge through lectures, medical education, seminars, talks, workshops, and conferences. We're here to bring society together and keep it safe by providing healthcare delivery and hospital administrative services through our short-term training modules.

Meet Our Scientific Advisory Committee
Dr. Naveen Nishchal is the Co-Founder of Meddo, a clinic network, as well as Cygnus Hospitals, a ten-hospital chain. He also serves as Chairman of Voice of Healthcare. Dr. Nishchal is a Harvard Business School Healthcare Delivery Expert. His dedication has earned him awards and recognition from the medical community. He was even named one of the most prominent individuals in healthcare by Medgate Today Magazine in 2014.
He graduated from North Bengal Medical College in Siliguri, West Bengal, with a bachelor’s degree in medicine. He earned his MD from the Govt. Medical College in Patiala, Punjab, in 2004.
In 2008, he co-founded Altius Healthcare, and for the first time in healthcare history, established a new model for operating hospitals with a low CAPEX (an Asset Light Model).
Dr. Naveen Nishchal is an Ambassador for India at the European Innovation Academy and is actively involved in mentoring and developing businesses both in India and abroad. He attended INSEAD in France and the University of Heidelberg in Germany for his executive education.
Dr. Subhrojyoti Bhowmick received a Gold Medal in Gynecology and Obstetrics from Calcutta University. He has an M.D. in Pharmacology from IPGME & R in Kolkata and has worked in the domains of clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and medication management in hospitals for over 12 years. He holds certificates from Stanford University in Clinical Research Administration and Project Management and Johns Hopkins University in Patient Safety.
He assesses hospitals for drug safety and clinical quality requirements under the National Accreditation Board Hospitals (NABH) in India. He is a NABH Assessor in India for the Ethics Committee Accreditation program. Dr. Subhrojyoti Bhowmick is also the Chairperson of the Institutional Ethics Committee of Health Point Hospital in Kolkata, as well as a member of two additional hospital ethics committees. The International Society of Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) in Ireland awarded him a Fellowship in Healthcare Quality. He is the first Indian doctor to be honored by ISQua with the Lucian Leape Patient Safety Fellowship for 2019. He has extensive experience in clinical trial technique, research ethics, evidence-based medicine, and biostatistics training and workshops.
Dr. Subhrojyoti Bhowmick has many publications to his name, including a chapter in the book “Fundamentals of Clinical Trial & Research” on “Regulations regulating Clinical Trials.” In 2009, the Indian Pharmacological Society presented him with the U K Seth Oration Award for Best Clinical Pharmacology Paper. In October 2018, the Asian African Chamber of Commerce and Industry named him the “Most promising Healthcare professional in Patient Safety.” The Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations in India has given him the Young Quality Achiever award for 2019.
Dr. Subhrojyoti Bhowmick has been invited to the WHO-sponsored MBBS/MD/DM curriculum National Review Meeting, as a subject expert in Pharmacology. He contributes to prestigious international magazines, such as the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, and CNS Drugs as a peer reviewer. He was a past visiting faculty member and examiner for Jadavpur University’s Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance certificate program. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as a Senior Clinical Research Associate at Stanford University School of Medicine in California, where he received certification in biostatistics, evidence-based medicine, and medical writing. As part of the Lucian Leape Patient Safety Fellowship grant in 2019, he worked for three months as a volunteer staff member in the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Patient Safety and Risk Management Unit in Geneva. At Peerless Hospital and B K Roy Research Centre in Kolkata, he is currently the Clinical Director of Academics, Medical Quality, and Clinical Research.
Rajesh Kumar Sharma is an Associate Professor at Swami Rama Himalayan University in Dehradun and the Head of the Critical Care Nursing Department. He is also the Secretary of the TNAI Uttarakhand Branch. He is a Simulation-Based Training Instructor and Master Trainer for AHA’s HIV/AIDS, Basic Life Support, Heart Saver, and First Aid programs. He has been recognized as a Best Teacher and Outstanding Critical Care Researcher. He has 22 research papers in national and international journals to his credit.
Rajesh Kumar Sharma also serves as an editor and reviewer for several prestigious magazines. At numerous national and international conferences, he has presented papers and posters too. Rajesh Kumar Sharma has also served as a resource person, organizing and attending several conferences, seminars, and workshops at the state, national, and international levels. In Medical-Surgical Nursing, he has published two (two) clinical record volumes.
D. S. Chakravarthi has been the CEO of Prashanth Hospital in Vijayawada since 2008. He has more than 11 years of expertise in healthcare administration and management. He also spent 12 years in the sales department of an IT company. D. S. Chakravarthi has also developed the successful computer, software, networking, and associated product solutions. He is currently doing his Ph.D. in management at K. L. University in Andhra Pradesh, with an enviable experience in the sector. He has been an ISQua supporter for a long time (International Society for Quality in Healthcare). He’s also worked as an assessor for the World Health Organization’s Patient Safety Friendly Hospital Standards. QIMPRO awarded him his Qualitist Level 2 certification. Not to mention LSSGB, PGDMLS, and ADQM, are also on the same list. D.S. Chakravarthi has been named the Most Promising Healthcare Professional by Time Cybermedia Pvt. Ltd. IARDO has given him the title of Distinguished Administrator (Healthcare). He has long been a member of the National Health Council, as well as PMI, QCI, IRCA, and CAHO.

Dr. Mahesh Bhatt
Dr. Mahesh Bhatt is a surgeon, writer, public health consultant, and researcher practicing medicine for the last 25 years in Dehradun (Uttarakhand), India. He is associated with various academic, scientific, and social organizations and institutions involved in research, education, and social development. His research interest is health literacy, spirituality, and the spiritual dimension of health and their role in public health and healthcare systems. His work on thought processes and their ecosystem in the human brain and the function of spiritual thought processes and spirituality in various thoughts of religion, culture, philosophy, and science created a paradigm shift in understanding and defining spirituality in the context of evolutionary biology and neurobiology for broader implications on health, happiness, and wellbeing. He is the author of the ‘Spiritual Health,’ ‘Spirituality: Neurobiology at Our Best,’ ‘The Inquisitive,’ and ‘Nithalla Chintan,’ a poetry collection in Hindi.
Dr. Mahesh Bhatt has published and presented research papers at various international conferences on spirituality and spiritual health in the context of public health and medicine. His work on spiritual health as the fourth dimension of health and its role as a tool in preventing physical, mental, and social aspects of health is vital in public health, healthcare delivery, and management. Dr. Bhatt was elected as the president of Vigyan Bharti (Uttarakhand Chapter) in 2017 and held this prestigious post till 2021. He is a member of the Practice Standard Committee of the International Health Literacy Association (IHLA) for 2022-2024, recently elected in a global election. Dr. Bhatt is a member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), The Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), World Medical Association (WMA), International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE), Society for Theory and Research on Salutogenesis (STARS), etc. He has worked in different capacities with various national and global academic, research, and professional organizations.
He is currently working as Managing Director and CEO of MMBSHS Trust, a charitable trust working on health education, health literacy, community health, and public health research.
