Course Overview
‘Health is Wealth.’ The epidemic has proved it right. This program helps us to understand the various health problems in the society. There was a time when communicable disease was a threat to mankind but now a days there is a shift from Communicable diseases to Non Communicable Diseases because the people are suffering from various deadly diseases and all are mainly due to the change in lifestyle. The technology has no doubt made our life easy but we cannot ignore the fact the technology is only reason for our lifestyle changes. This course helps us to formulate different public health policies at national and International level. It showcase the problems and health conditions of vulnerable population in the world. The environment and sustainable development goals are better understood. It also focuses on various organizations who are giving their whole to safeguard the health of the mankind.

Course Curriculum
The curriculum has been designed to cover the conceptual and quantitative skills needed by the public health policy makers in formulating the health policies. The programme combines classroom teaching with hands on training in the healthcare departments and case studies. The various subjects covered are National Health Programme, Health Policies, Social and Behavioral Aspects of Health, Environment and Sustainable Development, Research Methodology, Epidemiology and Biostatistics. The research work is mandatory in the final year. The final University Exams are held at the end of each year along with the Internal Exams. The project / thesis based viva is also conducted for better understanding of concepts by the students.
